I know that we all want to clutch onto every piece of evidence we find that Trump is a despicable human, hold them close, let them keep us warm at night, and build bomb shelters from them. I also know that society and popular media have taught us that “fat people” are the villains. That they are lazy and gluttonous and deserving of scorn. It’s incredibly difficult to set aside these biases, especially when we want to believe these things of a person, but that’s exactly what we need to do. Trump has given us ample reasons to believe that he is a garbage human. His objectification of and assaults on women, his racist comments and travel bans, his mockery of people with disabilities, his complete and utter lack of diplomacy, and on and on. His weight is not one of them.

It’s the hypocrisy. Trump has said horrible things about women’s bodies and he was constantly calling Secretary Clinton weak and unhealthy (the bodies of older women being beneath his notice of course). He made appalling remarks about the appearance of President Macron’s wife. He makes doctors say that he’s extraordinarily healthy when he is clearly obese and can barely walk a few hundred meters.
If he were obese and dignified, his weight wouldn’t be such an issue, but his unrelentingly piggish behavior with respect to the appearance of women causes people to react.

Good for you! Tackling any mention of Trump is controversial isn’t it? Man! Let God judge him – as for me and my house, I will serve the Lord and hopefully be kind enough NOT to judge others, :) Health is more important than weight loss and we are all uniquely created. Living a vibrant life is more important and I’ll start with me, <3 Great post young lady!
